Arthur Richard Martin (born 8th March 1911) was a comics artist from London who joined Amalgamated Press at the age of 17, working as an art assistant on Illustrated Chips. He worked extensively for AP in the 1930s before serving in the second World War, then returned to them, notably drawing the front page of the final issue of Comic Cuts in 1953, while also working for smaller publishers. By the 1970s he was working for IPC on titles such as Buster, June, Whizzer and Chips, Whoopee! and Shiver and Shake, on strips including Chalky and The Duke's Spook, but he was forced to retire due to eye problems in 1978.
