History[]
Dayna Mellanby was a natural hunter, raised on a primitive world by her father Hal, a reclusive scientist originally from Earth who had become a fugitive from the corrupt Terran Federation. When Hal Mellanby was murdered by Servalan, the President of the Federation, Dayna joined the outlaw Kerr Avon in reforming the spacefaring revolutionary group Blake's 7 and continuing their war against the oppressors, always looking for a chance to avenge her father by killing Servalan. Ultimately, she failed, and apparently died along with her crewmates in a Federation trap on the planet of Gauda Prime, where they had gone in search of their long lost original leader Roj Blake.

Dayna originated in the BBC TV series Blake's 7, and appeared in Marvel UK's Blake's 7: A Marvel Monthly as well as in the third and final Blake's 7 Annual published by World Distributors.
