The Doctor and Clara go on a skiing trip, only to find that the world they've picked has been turned into a tropical paradise by an egotistical billionaire. And as if being dressed for sub-zero temperatures in the middle of a sweltering jungle wasn't bad enough, something alien and hostile has taken control of the terraforming process...

Synopsis for "After Life"

Library assistant Alice Obiefune's life is falling apart. Her mother Ada has died, she's lost her job, her flat is about to be demolished, and then to cap it all, she finds herself being chased by a giant alien dog which feeds on negative emotions, in company with a madman with a box. But it takes Alice's empathy to remind The Doctor that a dog is usually someone's best friend, alien or not...

Synopsis for "Revolutions of Terror (part one)"

Gabriella is the daughter of Mexican immigrants to the USA. She works in her father Miguel and mother Maria's restaurant. She also works in the laundromat with her sister Blanca's boyfriend, Hector. And she's taking a night school course in accountancy. On the whole, Gabriella's life isn't much fun. But when the laundromat goes crazy, her grandma Fernanda sees her dead husband, and a monster appears on the subway, it's all getting beyond a joke. Then, The Doctor appears...
