Red Dagger was a bi-monthly reprint comic (in magazine format) published by D.C. Thomson from October 1979 until June 1984, a total of thirty issues. It reprinted boys' adventure stories from various D.C. Thomson title of the previous two decades, featuring characters such as young footballer Twisty, strongman Morgyn the Mighty and war hero Bomber Braddock, as well as strips including The Tough of the Track, The Secret of Black Island, The Smasher, Killer Kane, Cast Iron Bill, The Black Sapper and others. It also had a sister title aimed at girls, Lucky Charm.
