Savage Action was a black-and-white monthly anthology published by Marvel UK between November 1980 and January 1982 which specialized in action/adventure stories rather than the more standard superhero fare of titles such as Marvel Super-Heroes and Rampage. Features included reprints of Moon Knight, Ka-Zar the Savage, Dominic Fortune, Lady Daemon, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Daughters of the Dragon and The Punisher, with stories being taken from both the mainstream US colour comics and the more adult-orientated US black-and-white magazines published by Marvel in the 1970s. The only UK-originated feature was the Night Raven text story, written by editor Alan McKenzie under the pseudonym Maxwell Stockbridge with some illustrations by Floron Florenzo. Upon the title's cancellation, the Night Raven series moved into Marvel Super-Heroes, which carried the banner incorporating Savage Action on the cover of #382.
