The genial (but violent) Ursa was an ursine alien with an IQ of 70 who met the former Roman centurion Black-Hawk in the arena of the Entertainers. The two (along with Ursa's associate, the deranged dwarf Zog) quickly became inseparable and Ursa and Zog accompanied Black-Hawk to the planet Silversun on his quest to find the alien Soul Sucker. The three overthrew the tyrannical Great Beast but then unfortunately ended up falling into a black hole, from which they have yet to return.

Trivia[]
- Appropriately, given the fact that Ursa was invented as part of Black-Hawk's extraterrestrial makeover, the hairy warrior's name is reminiscent of two constellations, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. (The name of his companion Zog is, of course, pure pulp sci-fi.)
- Not to confused with Ursa, an inhabitant of the Gothic Empire.
