D-Day Dawson

Arthur Geoffrey 'Geoff' Campion (19th November 1916-18th December 1997) was a British comics artist who, after a brief and undistinguished career as a tax inspector, worked for Amalgamated Press/Fleetway/IPC from 1948 until the early 1980s, becoming one of their best remembered artists, his style eventually being adopted as the "house style" for the company's adventure comics. Among his many credits (for titles including Eagle, Lion, Valiant, Playhour, Knockout and Battle Picture Weekly) were strips including D-Day Dawson, The Eagle, Captain Hurricane, Jet-Ace Logan, Action Force, Typhoon Tracy, Captain Condor, Johnny Cougar and Battler Britton. He also worked for TV Comic.
