Girl was a sister title to the long running boys' comic Eagle, published weekly by Hulton Press (and later by Fleetway) from 2nd November 1951 to 3rd October 1964 (a total of 643 issues). It was subsequently merged with Princess. Strips included Kitty Hawke by Ray Bailey, Penny Wise by Norman Pett, Lindy Love, written by Ruth Adam, and Lettice Leefe by John Ryan. In addition, Girl Annuals (in the same red-covered format as the Eagle Annuals) were published from 1952-1964.
