Marvel Classics Comics Pocketbook was one of the 52 page black & white digest titles in the Pocket Books line published by Marvel UK between March 1980 and mid 1982, although Marvel Classic Comics itself, one of the less popular titles, only lasted from October 1981 to March 1982, a total of 12 issues (unlike the others in the line, it was published twice monthly rather than monthly). Like the US Marvel title which it reprinted (and for which it was named) it contained comic strip adaptations of classic stories, including War of the Worlds, A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland, Ivanhoe, The Count of Monte Cristo, Robinson Crusoe, The Invisible Man, The First Men in the Moon, The Food of the Gods and Moonstone.
