Edward George 'Ted' Cowan was a British comics writer who first entered the industry some years after World War II, writing the adventures of Ginger Nutt for story paper ''The Champion''. In a career spanning almost forty years he worked for various publishers including [[IPC]], [[DC Thomson]], [[Odhams]] and [[Fleetway]], becoming one of the most prolific comics writers of his day.
