'The Duke's Spook' was actually Shiver, ghostly host of the Shiver section of IPC's Shiver and Shake comic. He haunted the stately home of the Duke (who inexplicably wore a crown, something you'd normally only expect of a King or Queen) and had an amiable relationship with his lordship but a rather more antagonistic one with Grimes, the butler. The weekly strip ended on October 5th 1974, along with the comic, but it appeared regularly in Shiver and Shake Annuals and Shiver himself got a one page strip in Whoopee!.
