History
The eponymous protagonist of the Tornado strip Victor Drago was a private detective who, along with his cockney assistant Spencer, frequently assisted the police (most notably his friend and colleague Inspector John Carter) as well as other clients in the early part of the twentieth century. He resided in rooms in Baker Street, London, and had a bloodhound named Brutus.

Notes
The Victor Drago strip in Tornado was originally intended to be a Sexton Blake strip, but a contract dispute forced IPC to change his name (and that of Blake's assistant, Tinker, who became Spencer). The writer, Chris Lowder, was very unhappy about this (see quotes). Drago appeared in both comic strips and text stories in Tornado, in the Tornado Annuals and in the Tornado Summer Special.
