Doctor Von Hoffman was a Nazi scientist who, after serving a lengthy prison sentence following World War II, launched a one-man war on Britain in the 1970s, using his growth gas to enlarge a variety of dangerous creatures before turning them loose on the public. Von Hoffman was thwarted several times but remained at large and eventually resurfaced decades later, apparently keeping himself alive and invigorated by regular transfusions of blood from the alien known as Paddy McGinty's Goat.
