Wildcat was a short-lived title published fortnightly by Fleetway between 22nd October 1988 and 25th March 1989 (there was also a free Wildcat mini-comic given away with 2000 AD, Eagle and Whizzer and Chips the week before the launch). The title strip concerned the adventures of Turbo Jones and his crew on the spaceship Wildcat as they explored space looking for a new home for the survivors of a doomed Earth. Among the people working on the title was artist Ian Kennedy.
Wildcat lasted just twelve issues before being merged with Eagle two weeks after the final issue, the first merged issue being Eagle #368. All four of Wildcat's main stories (Turbo Jones, Joe Alien, Kitten Magee and Loner) continued in Eagle on a rotating basis, though the short story feature Wildcat Complete did not. Two Specials, a Wildcat Holiday Special and a Wildcat Winter Special, were both published in 1989.
