Launched on October 14th 1994 by Marvel UK, this bi-weekly comic (titled simply X-Men) was designed to cash in on the popularity of the then current X-Men Animated Series (the editorial in the first issue didn't even mention the American X-Men comics, it effectively presented the title as a spin-off from the TV show) and ran two partially reprinted stories in each issue, beginning with an adaptation of Night of the Sentinels (the first story in the animated series, presented here as a What-If? story) and the story from the first issue of Chris Claremont and Jim Lee's highly publicised X-Men title from 1991. There were also several Fact Files pages on individual members, and the first issue contained both a free poster and a free Panini X-Men sticker album, with the second issue giving away a packet of free stickers "to start off your mighty mutant collection". Sadly, the title was not a huge success.
